Daphné Herlem

Daphné Herlem has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Daphné started their career as a Trainee at Dow Corning in 2009, where they focused on developing emulsions with new surfactants. Daphné then worked as a Trainee at Total Petrochemicals Research Feluy in 2011, optimizing a metallocene catalyst for the production of polyethylene.

In 2012, Daphné took on the role of Quality control Chemical and Packaging during a student job at the Vandeputte Group. Here, they were involved in laboratory duties and quality control tasks. Daphné also received training in quality management tools and a certified environment GMP. Later that year, they worked as a Quality Officer on a replacement contract at Lantmännen, where their responsibilities included inspection of finished products/raw materials and ensuring the proper functioning of production lines. Daphné also received training in HACCP method and the use of ERP (Axapta).

Daphné then transitioned to the Laboratory of Physics of Surfaces and Interfaces in 2013, working as an Industrial Engineer in chemistry.
