Uriel Trahtemberg has a diverse and extensive work experience. Uriel is currently serving as an Executive Board Member at the Israeli Society for Critical Care Medicine. Prior to this, they were a Senior Lecturer (physician scientist track) at Bar-Ilan University.
Uriel has also held positions at various medical centers. Uriel served as the Chief of Department in the General ICU at Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, Israel and worked as a Staff Physician there as well. Additionally, they were an Affiliate Scientist at St. Michael's Hospital and a Critical Care Physician (Fellow - Attending Physician) in the University of Toronto program.
Uriel also has experience in the field of medical technology. Uriel served as the Chief Medical Officer and a Member of the Board of Advisors at CNOGA Medical Ltd.
Furthermore, Uriel has a strong academic background. Uriel completed their PhD in Immunology at The Hebrew University - Hadassah Medical and was a PhD Student at The Laboratory for Cellular and Molecular Immunology. Uriel has also held various medical roles, including a clinical fellow in Critical Care at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center and a Medicine Intern at Hadassa Medical centers the Hebrew University Jerusalem.
In addition to their work experience, Uriel has demonstrated leadership skills, research capabilities, and a special interest in point of care ultrasound, non-invasive monitoring, and human immunology. Uriel has contributed to the implementation of point of care ultrasound and has actively participated in several research projects. Uriel has also been involved in teaching and mentoring medical students.
Uriel Trahtemberg has an extensive education history. Uriel obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2011. Uriel also earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the same university in 2008. In 2016, Trahtemberg completed a Fellowship (sub-specialty) in Critical Care / Intensive Care at Hadassah - Hebrew University Medical Center. Prior to that, they participated in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center from 2013 to 2016. Trahtemberg began their education journey at Leon Pinelo High School from 1984 to 1995. More recently, they completed a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Toronto from 2018 to 2021. Trahtemberg has also obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Brain Death Certification Accreditation, ECMO Certification, and more.
