David Rice

David Rice has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. David is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Galileo Financial Technologies (a SoFi company) since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Apple as a Senior Engineering Manager from August 2020 to January 2021. Before Apple, they held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at SoFi from February 2019 to July 2020.

David's earlier career includes various roles at ThoughtWorks and ThoughtWorks Studios. During their time at ThoughtWorks Studios, they served as the Managing Director from January 2012 to January 2019. In this role, they led the product division and launched several test automation products. David also played a key role in modernizing the Continuous Delivery product, GoCD.

At ThoughtWorks, David worked as a Director & Principal Consultant from September 2001 to September 2006. David led transformative IT projects and helped organizations transition to agile and XP-styles of working. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Developer & Lead Consultant from November 1996 to September 2001.

Overall, David Rice has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles, with experience in product management, continuous delivery, and agile methodologies.

David Rice completed their A.B. degree in Classics from Brown University. Prior to that, they attended Loyola Academy for part of their education.
