Ian Christopher has had a diverse work experience, beginning in 2008 as Farm Manager for Route 1 Farms, where they were trained in and helped run the operations of a 90+ Acre Organic Heritage Farm. In 2009, they became Market Manager for the Santa Cruz Community Farmers Markets, where they were responsible for onsite management, event coordination, fee collections, and human resource issues. In 2010, they became Executive Director of Scott River Lodge, managing a remote hospitality-based ministry and leading a team of over 35. In 2015, they consulted with FedWell Foods to help increase the yields of sweet potatoes in their agricultural operations in Myanmar. In 2017, they became Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Galley, a company that helps restaurants, caterers, and other types of food businesses collect and understand the food data behind their operations. Ian also held the roles of Chief Experience Officer and Chief Executive Officer. In 2019, they joined The Culinary Institute of America's Society of Fellows, existing to enhance the quality, excellence, and reputation of the college.
Ian Christopher graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies.
