Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy is an experienced filmmaker and educator currently serving as a film teacher at Galway Education Centre since January 2023. As a filmmaker for Waterways Ireland since March 2018, Paul has directed short documentaries, including the series "Stories from the Waterways." In addition, endeavors with Galway County Council resulted in a short documentary series titled "Stories from the Landscape." Other notable projects include directing "This Giant Tent" for the National Museum of Ireland and the short documentary "Cattle Drove" for Clare County Council. Paul's early work includes the award-winning short drama "The Weather Report," recognized across numerous international film festivals. Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from the University of Galway.
