Michael Williamson

Michael Williamson has held various leadership roles in finance and consulting throughout their career. Michael is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Gama Aviation since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Chief Financial Officer at Sanderson Design Group plc. from 2019 to 2021, where they successfully led the company through the challenges posed by Covid and Brexit. Michael has also worked as an Interim Consultant at their own independent consultancy from 2016 to 2019, providing their expertise to various businesses. Before that, they were a Partner at Buro Happold from 2011 to 2016, where they played a key role in the company's recovery and growth. Michael has experience working in Private Equity as an IPO Consultant at Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they served as the CFO at Atlas Estates, a dual-listed company, from 2006 to 2010. Michael started their career in the pharmaceutical industry, serving as the UK Finance Director at Sanofi from 1997 to 1999 and as the European Region Finance Director - Pharmaceuticals at GlaxoSmithKline from 1993 to 1997. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong financial management skills, strategic planning abilities, and a track record of successfully leading change and delivering results.

Michael Williamson attended Henley Business School from 2001 to 2002, where they completed the Advanced Management Program. Michael also pursued a degree in Economics, specifically a BSc (Econ), at Swansea University. Additionally, Michael studied towards becoming a Chartered Accountant at ICAEW. Prior to these higher education experiences, they attended Westminster City Grammar School in the UK.
