Tyler Gier

Tyler Gier began their career in 2012 as a waiter at Cedars Woodfire Grill. In 2016, they were the Lead Programmer at Paidia Studios, a group of students under the direction of Dr. Celia Pearce at Northeastern University. In 2017 and 2018, they were an Android Engineer Co-Op at Skillz Inc. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Mobile Engineer at Skillz Inc., where they were responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects for the mobile SDK, onboarding multiple full-time engineers, and directly mentoring full-time junior engineers. Tyler also took ownership of parts of the codebase pertaining to synchronous gameplay and player chat. In 2022, they became a Senior Mobile Engineer at Gametime.

Tyler Gier attended Northeastern University from 2015 to 2019, where they studied Computer Science and Game Development.
