Vladimir Melnikov

Vladimir Melnikov joined Gamida Cell as Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Manufacturing in June 2021 and brings more than 25 years of experience in the biopharma industry from Omirx, a Johnson & Johnson company. Prior to joining Gamida Cell, Vladimir served as General Manager of the Israeli sites of the biosurgery division of Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson company, responsible for three biotech manufacturing sites, the Omirx team and transferring technology to external partners. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, operations, engineering and technical operations while playing a pivotal role in new product development and launch, design of the scaled-up processes, new facilities and equipment and obtaining regulatory approvals.

Vladimir completed his B.A. at the Kaunas Medical Academy, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, holds a M.Sc. in life sciences from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MBA in biopharma from College of Management. He also completed the Course of Directors and Senior Executives at Tel Aviv University.
