David Farrell

Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at GAMMA DIAGNOSTICS, INC.

David Farrell has extensive experience in academia and scientific research. David began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Oregon Health and Science University from 1986 to 1988. David then continued their research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington from 1988 to 1993. In 1993, they joined Penn State University as an Assistant Professor until 1998. In 1998, Farrell returned to Oregon Health and Science University as an Associate Professor and held this position until 2001. From 2001 to 2008, they served as an Associate Professor and then as a Professor from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, Farrell founded GAMMA DIAGNOSTICS, INC. and held the role of Founder and Chief Scientific Officer. David returned to academia in 2010, joining Oregon Health and Science University as a Professor, a position they continue to hold.

David Farrell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UCLA between 1975 and 1979. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine, completing their doctoral research between 1979 and 1986.
