Kai Jin

Kai Jin has work experience as a Senior Engineer at Gamma Technologies, LLC since 2016. Prior to that, they served as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2011 to 2016, where they conducted research on multiphase and turbulent flow problems using in-house code and ANSYS-FLUENT. Kai also worked on the development of a GPU based in-house Navier-Stokes solver. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at Lehigh University from 2009 to 2011, where they conducted energy audits for small and medium-sized manufacturers as part of the DoE Industrial Assessment Center Program.

Kai Jin's education history starts in 2005 when they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation from Shandong University of Technology. After that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University, completing it in 2011. In the same year, Kai Jin joined the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a second Master's Degree in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, which they completed in 2015. Kai Jin continued their studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering in 2016.
