Simon Townson has over 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Simon started their career at Virgin Media in 2011, where they worked as an Outage Surveillance Coordinator and then as a CNMC Engineer. Their responsibilities included monitoring and resolving service outages and minimizing customer calls. In 2016, Simon joined TalkTalk as a Network Operations Center Engineer, where they were responsible for network monitoring, incident management, and resolution. Simon later transitioned to the role of Customer Network Design Engineer, where they provided 3rd line support, designed and delivered customer Wide Area Networks, and managed internet access solutions. In 2022, Simon joined Gamma as a Lead Customer Engineer.
Simon Townson earned a Master of Planning Mplan (Hons) degree in Town & Regional Planning from the University of Liverpool, completing their education from 2006 to 2010. Simon also obtained several certifications from Cisco, including CCNP Enterprise (CCNP-Enterprise), Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation (CCS-EAII), Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core (CCS-ECore), CCNA Routing & Switching, and Cisco CCENT.
