Mary T. McDermott

Program Director, Communication Sciences & Disorders at Gannon University

Mary T. McDermott, Ed.D., CCC-SLP serves as the Program Director and Assistant Professor in the Communication Sciences & Disorders program at Gannon University since December 2018. In addition, Mary McDermott has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities since August 2017. Previous experience includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at Ashland University in 2019 and holding the roles of Special Education Coordinator and Speech-Language Pathologist at Maple Heights School District from August 2010 to July 2017. Mary McDermott earned a Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies from Ashland University and holds a Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University at Buffalo, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from John Carroll University.
