Kellie Leonard

Kellie Leonard has a diverse work experience in the animal sciences field. Kellie began their career in 2014 as a Research Assistant for Dairy Nutrition Trial at the UIUC Dairy Farm and Nutrition Laboratory. Kellie also completed an Internship at PAWS Chicago that same year. In 2015, they began working at Charles River Laboratories as a Research Vivarium Supervisor, where they managed 16 staff members in the animal research facility. Kellie later became a Supervisor, Facility Assistant Supervisor, and Animal Care Technician III for the same company. In 2022, they began their current role as Manager of Vivarium and Operations at R&D for Garuda Therapeutics.

Kellie Leonard obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2013 and 2015. In 2016, they obtained an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technicnian (ALAT) certification from AALAS. In 2017, they obtained a Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) certification and a Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) certification from AALAS.
