Gijs M.

Gijs M. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Gijs is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Gas Equipment Company, a MAKEEN Energy Company. Prior to this role, they worked at SHV Energy as the Vice President Supply Chain & Sustainable Fuels and as the Group Risk & Internal Control Manager. Before joining SHV Energy, Gijs M. held positions at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as the Operational Risk Manager Energy, Commodities & Transportation Clients and as a Senior Auditor. Their early career was in the military, serving as a Naval Officer in the Royal Netherlands Navy.

Gijs M. began their education at the Royal Netherlands Naval Academy from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Military Management and Naval Operations. Gijs then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Business Administration at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2005 to 2006. Lastly, they attended the University of Amsterdam from 2009 to 2011, where they completed an Executive Master of Internal Auditing, with a specialization in Register Operational Auditor (EMIA RO).
