Lawrence Kim MD AGAF has a comprehensive work experience in the field of gastroenterology. Lawrence has held numerous positions in various organizations and has made significant contributions in each role. Lawrence is currently serving as the Vice President at the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and has been a part of the Finance Committee. Previously, they served as the Secretary-Treasurer and a member of the Governing Board at AGA.
In addition to their work at AGA, Dr. Kim has also been actively involved with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), where they have served as the Secretary-Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors.
Dr. Kim has also been associated with the Digestive Health Physicians Association, where they served as a member of the Board of Directors and held the position of Director of Health Policy.
Before their involvement with these organizations, Dr. Kim worked at South Denver Gastroenterology, where they became a partner. Lawrence later served as the Medical Director at South Denver Gastroenterology, P.C., overseeing its expansion and development.
Prior to their professional endeavors, Dr. Kim completed their fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of California, San Francisco, and their residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center.
Lawrence Kim MD AGAF completed their undergraduate studies at Princeton University from 1984 to 1988, earning an AB degree in Public and International Affairs. Lawrence then pursued further education at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1988 to 1992, obtaining their MD degree. Prior to their university education, Lawrence Kim attended The Hotchkiss School from 1981 to 1984.
