Alex Reid

Alex Reid has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They have recently been serving as the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) at Gates Ventures since December 2021. Prior to this, they established their own consultancy called Reid Strategies in June 2020, where they worked as the CEO. Reid Strategies focused on strategy, communications, and campaigning, primarily in the areas of gender equality, racial equity, and climate action. They also worked with global thought leaders, philanthropic foundations, and non-governmental organizations.

Before starting their consultancy, Alex Reid briefly took a break in 2020 for parenting and personal growth. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, including Head of Global Campaigns, Head of Global Program Communications, Strategic Communications Lead for Agriculture & Nutrition Programs, and Head of European Communications.
