Jen Mooney has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Jen is currently employed at Gates Ventures as a Senior Program Manager starting from February 2023. Previously, they worked at Formative as the VP of Program Management & Business Operations from January 2020 to September 2022. During their time at Formative, they managed business consulting and marketing strategy engagements with clients such as the University of Washington, Microsoft, Gates Ventures, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, World Bank, and other NGOs/non-profit organizations. Jen also oversaw the program management discipline, business operations, and client-side PMO setup.
Before Formative, Jen worked at The Garrigan Lyman Group as a Group Project Director from December 2013 to September 2015, where they standardized project management processes and managed a team of 15 project managers. Jen also directly managed large enterprise-level projects for brands like T-Mobile, Philips Healthcare, and Microsoft.
Prior to that, they worked at Razorfish as a Project Manager from July 2008 to September 2010. Jen'sresponsibilities included managing Microsoft projects, scoping new work, securing staff resources, and contributing to new business pitches.
Additionally, they have experience as a Client Services Team Lead at United Creations, Inc. (formerly Eben Design) from February 2006 to May 2008, as an Account Manager at I.P. Callisons, Inc. from March 2002 to December 2005, and as a Graphic Designer at Trader Publishing Company from December 2000 to January 2002.
Throughout their career, Jen has demonstrated expertise in program management, business operations, project management, and client services.
Jen Mooney obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Design from Cornish College of the Arts, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the Lean Technology Strategy: Running Agile at Scale certification from LinkedIn in January 2023, the Scrum: Advanced certification from LinkedIn in January 2023, the Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing certification from LinkedIn in January 2022, the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from Cprime, Inc in 2010, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the University of Washington in 2009.
