Braden Swan has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Braden started their career at General Dynamics Electric Boat as an Engineer, where they developed seal cartridges, redesigned valve seats, and worked on innovative concepts for remote operators. Braden then progressed to the role of Senior Engineer, leading the technical development of submarine components. Braden later became an Engineering Specialist and Project Lead, specializing in fluid systems and expansion joint development.
In 2020, Braden joined Zodiac Hurricane Technologies, Inc. as an Assistant Technical Director, where they played a key role in drafting technical responses and developing critical information for the development of high-performance RIBs. Braden led the development of new inflatable tube pressure monitoring systems, designed tools to predict RIB performance, and created testing procedures for hull design evaluation.
Currently, Braden is the Director of Customer Solutions at Gateway Mechanical Services, where they utilize their expertise in customer-focused solutions.
Braden Swan completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, during the period of 2004 to 2008.
In terms of certifications, Braden Swan is a Professional Engineer (PE) with several obtained certifications. Braden acquired the PE certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in June 2022. In October 2020, they obtained the PE certification from APEGBC. Before that, in April 2020, they gained the PE certification from the Nevada Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors. Lastly, in June 2018, Braden Swan obtained the PE certification from CONSUMER PROTECTION, CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF.
