Johan Bender

Johan studied pharmacy at Utrecht University (PharmD, 1995). After graduation, Johan worked for 2 years in R&D and Validation of Analytical Methods at Pharmachemie (TEVA) followed by three years of GLP Study Director clinical trials at Medinet CRL (Analytico). In 2000, Johan became managing director of Bactimm and in 2002 co-owner of Bactimm/Farmalyse. These GMP contract labs were sold to aap bioImplants AG in 2007. After this, Johan remained managing director of Bactimm/Farmalyse and next to becoming Director R&D aap bioImplants Netherlands BV. He left aap at the end of 2009 and founded GATT Technologies BV in August 2011. Johan has a number of patents: technologies focus on adhesion, anti-adhesion and drug delivery. Since March 2020, Johan became Chief Technology Officer of GATT Technologies. In his role of CTO, he focuses on the research and development of additional products and applications.
