Derick Coleman

Derick Coleman has extensive experience in IT service operations and management, currently serving as Director of IT Service Operations at GCI Communication Corp. since June 2013, following roles as Senior Manager and Manager of the IT Response Team. Derick is responsible for overseeing technology operations, service desk functions, and executive-level reporting on critical outages. Previous experience includes a position as Special Project & IT Administrator at Pacific Waste LLC, managing IT budgets and systems, and serving as IT System Administrator at Alaska Waste, supporting a multi-site infrastructure. Derick’s career commenced at GCI - General Communication, Inc., where roles ranged from IT Business Analyst to customer service management, contributing to billing software configuration and training. Derick attended the University of Alaska Anchorage from 1990 to 1992.
