Matthew Derr is a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Northrop Grumman, focusing on the design, integration, and testing of suborbital targets for the Missile Defense Agency since June 2018. With prior experience as a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Orbital ATK and a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer at Orbital Sciences Corporation, Matthew has consistently contributed to the development of primary and secondary launch vehicle structures, along with critical ground support equipment, ensuring compliance with ASME standards. Additionally, Matthew serves as a Course Developer and Instructor at Pareto Learning LLC, leveraging expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to educate the engineering community. Matthew holds both a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, completing studies in 2008 and 2003, respectively.
