Brett Geiser has a wide range of work experience in engineering roles. Brett started their career at Post Glover Resistors as a Design Drafter, where they focused on designing industrial resistor applications. Brett then moved to Belcan Engineering, where they worked as a Structural FEA Engineer & Project Manager, specializing in finite element analysis of gas turbine components.
Since 2013, Brett has been working at GE Aviation, where they have held various positions. As a Lead Engineer in the Military Propulsion Engineering - Inlet and Exhaust Systems section, they were responsible for designing and implementing composite exhaust hardware in both commercial and military applications. In their role as an Advanced Lead Engineer, they focused on the design and implementation of ceramic matrix composite (CMC) components, contributing to the development of advanced military jet engine exhaust systems. Currently, as a Principal Engineer, Brett leads mechanical design teams and mentors the next generation of engineers in the clean sheet design of variable exhaust nozzles.
Throughout their career, Brett has also demonstrated expertise in high temperature composites, advanced materials, and the incorporation of new technologies into their designs. Their experience includes not only design and analysis but also mentorship and leadership roles within the engineering teams they have worked with.
Brett Geiser obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in the years 2005-2010. Brett also possesses a certification as an EIT (Engineer in Training) from the NCEES, obtained in the year 2011 in the State of Ohio.
