Efren Rodriguez Muñoz

Efren Rodriguez Muñoz has a strong background in software engineering, particularly in the appliances industry. Efren began their career at Mabe Corporativo in 2011 as a Junior Software Engineer, working on the design and development of embedded systems for appliances products. Efren also collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and participated in failure diagnostics. At the same company, they took on the role of Software Engineer, focusing on communication protocols, user interfaces, and appliances performance in innovation projects.

In 2017, Efren joined Harman International as a Software Engineer, where they designed software modules for audio amplifiers and implemented class D amplifiers handling using real-time operating systems.

In 2018, they moved to GE Appliances, a Haier company, as an Embedded Software Engineer, and played a significant role in developing new washer platforms, including vertical and horizontal axis machines. Efren implemented washer algorithms and utilized Test Driven Development methodology. Efren later became a Scrum Master for vertical axis dryer machines, leading a global software team and following Agile methodologies.

By 2022, Efren had been promoted to Senior Software Engineer at GE Appliances. Efren took on the role of Scrum Master, overseeing complete washer platforms and managing a larger team of developers, junior engineers, and interns.

In 2023, Efren's career progressed further as they were appointed as the Director of Software Engineering - Clothes Care at GE Appliances, where they continued to drive innovation and leadership in software development.

Efren Rodriguez Muñoz obtained a Master's degree in Innovation and Business Development from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Universidad Virtual, from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they earned a degree in Electronic Technologies with a focus on Information Technologies from 2006 to 2011. Efren also received a certification in Embedded Systems from Tampere University of Technology in 2010. In addition to their formal education, Efren has obtained several certifications in various topics such as Applied Curiosity, Making Quick Decisions, Data Science, Emotional Intelligence, Python, and management skills from LinkedIn.
