Mario Reale is an experienced professional in the field of research engagement and cloud engineering. Since July 2019, Mario has served as Senior Research Engagement Manager at GÉANT, where the focus is on supporting research user communities with the adoption of GÉANT and community services. Prior to this role, Mario worked at GARR from October 2006 to June 2019 as a Cloud Engineer, contributing to the deployment and operation of the GARR openstack cloud platform and coordinating tasks for notable projects such as AARC and Gn4. Additionally, Mario was involved in the EGEE project from 2004 to 2010 as a Grid Middleware Tester/Test Developer, and previously tested grid middleware at CERN between 2004 and 2006, participating in various projects related to middleware performance and testing. Mario holds a Ph.D. in Physics/HEP from Bergische Universität Wuppertal and a Laurea in Fisica from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
