Perry Gu has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Perry started their career at Ford Motor Company in 1994 as an NVH Section Supervisor and stayed there until 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as an Engineering Manager at Otis Elevator Company. Perry then joined Tesla Motors as a Senior Technical Specialist in NVH/CAE from 2009 to 2011. Following that, they worked at Fisker Automotive as a Supervisor in NVH Engineering from 2011 to 2013. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Chief Engineer and VP of the Vehicle Engineering Center at Geely Automobile Research Institute since January 2017, after working as a Senior Chief Engineer at the same institute from 2013 to 2017.
Perry Gu holds a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which was completed by 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 1982 and 1984. Perry also acquired a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1978 to 1982.
