Chris Beers

Chris Beers is a Principal Acoustical Engineer with extensive experience in the medical ultrasound industry. Since January 2022, Chris has been with GE HealthCare, following its acquisition of BK Medical, where Chris held the same role from April 2018 to December 2021 after the ultrasound business was spun out. Prior to that, Chris spent over a decade at Sound Technology, initially as an Acoustical Engineer focusing on the development of acoustic technologies for medical ultrasound transducers and later as an Advanced Development Intern working on transducer array behavior. Earlier internships at Akustica, Starkey Labs, and GE provided foundational experience in technical marketing, acoustics analysis, and fluorescent lighting. Chris holds a Master of Science in Acoustics from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Acoustics & Music from the University of Hartford, supplemented by studies at DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
