Reza Dana has held a number of roles in the medical field since 1994. Reza began their career at Harvard Medical School Department of Ophthalmology- Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary as the Harvard Department of Ophthalmology. In 2004, they became the W Clement Stone Scholar, Senior Scientist and Director of the Laboratory of Immunology at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Mass Eye and Ear. Reza also became the Director of the Harvard-Vision Clinical Scientist Development Program at Harvard University. In 2006, they were appointed Director of the Cornea & Refractive Surgery Service at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. In 2007, they were named Professor and CH Dohlman Chair in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. In 2009, they became the Director of the Harvard Medical School Department of Ophthalmology Cornea Center of Excellence. In 2018, they co-founded Aramis Biosciences as a Scientific Co-Founder. In 2020, they co-founded Kera - SightStream Biotherapeutics and GelMEDIX as a Scientific Co-Founder. Finally, in 2022, they co-founded Ocucell as a Scientific Co-Founder.
Reza Dana received a Diploma Summa Cum Laude from St. Paul's School in 1981. Reza then went on to earn an MSc in Health Care Management from Harvard University. Finally, they obtained a BA, MPH, and MD from The Johns Hopkins University in the fields of Medicine and Public Health/Epidemiology.
