Claudia Heuterkes

Claudia Heuterkes, LL.M. has an extensive work experience in the field of licensing and legal consulting. Claudia started their career in 2000 as a Trainee Solicitor at The AIRE Centre. Later on, they worked as a Legal Consultant at KirchMedia GmbH & Co. KG a.A. from 2001 to 2004. In 2005, Claudia joined Sony Pictures Television International (Columbia TRISTAR) as a Contract & Deal Manager. Claudia held this position until 2012. Since then, Claudia has been working at GEMA, where they started as a Legal Consultant for licensing online, then became Team Lead for licensing online, and currently holds the position of Head of Department for licensing broadcast & online (Video).

Claudia Heuterkes, LL.M. completed their Jurastudium, allgemein at the University of Münster from 1992 to 1997, earning an Erstes Staatsexamen (First law degree). Claudia then pursued further education at the Europa-Institut, Saarland University, obtaining a Master of Laws - LLM from 1997 to 1998, specializing in European integration and the European media sector. Claudia also spent the 1994-1995 academic year at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, studying European and French law. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they completed their Rechtsrefendariat at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, Germany, obtaining a Zweites Staatsexamen (German bar exam).
