Dale Burrowes

Dale Burrowes has a long and varied work experience in the engineering and design field. From 2012 to 2021, they have held roles at Procter & Gamble, Touch Packaging Innovation, Hodges & Drake Design, Dyson, and Gembah. At Procter & Gamble they held the role of R&D, at Touch Packaging Innovation they were a Design Assistant, at Hodges & Drake Design they were a Junior Industrial Designer, at Dyson they were a Design Engineer and Senior Design Engineer, and at Gembah they are currently an Engineering Lead and Senior Design Engineer. Dale'srole at Gembah involves managing 10+ projects from initial Ideation to DFM and engineering consulting, liaising with factories to ensure the product development process goes smoothly. Dale has also helped develop the business further by creating and improving the Product Development Journey PDJ. At Dyson, they have worked closely with multiple disciplinary teams varying from developing new ideas using ideation methods and mechanical design to solving difficult fluid dynamic problems with colleagues using CFD. Dale has also had the opportunity to present ideas to James Dyson. At Hodges & Drake Design, they experienced first-hand what working in a professional design environment entails, from attending meetings to discuss briefings, presenting their ideas to clients to producing concept sketches, CAD models and working prototypes. One project they were responsible for is being submitted for a patent and they will be listed as the inventor.

Dale Burrowes obtained a 1st class Industrial Design & Technology degree from Brunel University London between 2013 and 2017. Prior to that, they attended Farnborough 6th Form College from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, in June 2016, they obtained a certification in IDEO Design Kit: Prototyping from IDEO.
