Geert Kuipers

Geert Kuipers has extensive experience in municipal and provincial administration, focusing on spatial management, geo-information, and policy development. Currently serving as a Functioneel applicatiebeheerder and Adviseur Ruimtelijk Beheer at Gemeente Westerwolde since September 2020, Geert Kuipers is responsible for developing policies and plans related to land sales, green space management, and municipal cemetery regulations. Prior to this role, Geert worked at Provincie Drenthe as a Beleidsmedewerker, and held various positions at Gemeente Westerwolde, including Projectleider and Gegevensbeheerder Geo-informatie. Earlier experience includes roles at gemeente Vlagtwedde, gemeente Bellingwedde, Provincie Groningen, and Adviesbureau Kroon bv. Geert Kuipers holds a degree in Civil Engineering from HTS Groningen and has completed several relevant professional development courses, including Prince2® Foundation.
