Geoff Nixon

Geoff Nixon has a long and varied work experience. Geoff began their career in 1990 as a Portfolio Manager at Brierley Investments (IEP). In 1991, they founded MCM Associates Ltd., where they ran a long/short small cap hedge fund. In 2013, they joined Lightning Lab as a Mentor In Residence and Onslow College Board of Trustees as a Trustee. Geoff also joined LearnKo as Chairman & Investor and Morgan Foundation as a Researcher with Education Focus. In 2014, they became a National Advisory Board Member of Lightning Lab and in 2015, they became Director, Co-Owner and Member of Investment Committee of King Tide Asset Mngt. In 2016, they were involved in Educa as an advisor to founder and took over as CEO in June 2017. Geoff also founded Gemm Learning in 2006, providing cognitive and reading programs for children and adults with remote educator oversight.

Geoff Nixon received their Masters of Commerce, hons in Economics and Accounting from the University of Canterbury in 1976. Prior to this, they attended Timaru Boys High in Timaru, New Zealand from 1968 to 1972.
