Angel Garner

Angel Garner is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teacher at GEMS International School - Al Khail since August 2022, after holding a similar position at GEMS World Academy in Abu Dhabi from August 2019 to July 2022. Garner has a strong background in creating authentic learning environments using the IB framework and has collaborated with native Arabic-speaking staff to enhance English language learning for ELL students during tenures at the Ministry of Education – UAE and Abu Dhabi Education Council. Prior experience includes teaching elementary grades, specifically Grade 3 and Grade 1, in Broward County Public Schools and Anne Arundel County Public Schools, where a focus on inquiry-based learning and thematic planning was emphasized. Garner holds a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and is pursuing a Master of Education in Reading Teacher Education at Bowie State University.
