Alexandru Frigioiu

Alexandru Frigioiu is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in threat research and virus analysis. As a Senior Threat Researcher at NortonLifeLock since April 2021, Alexandru specializes in identifying and analyzing threats to improve cybersecurity measures. Prior to this role, Alexandru spent over a decade at Avira Romania, initially as a Virus Analyst focusing on dynamic and static analysis, signature creation, and malware hunting, as well as serving as a Technical Support Engineer bridging communication between technical support and developers. Alexandru began the career journey in IT with roles in helpdesk support and editorial tasks, demonstrating a well-rounded background in both technical and analytical skills. Alexandru holds a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from Spiru Haret University and a high school diploma in Chemistry-Biology from C.A. Rosetti High School.
