Berna Özkoç Öztınaz

Berna Özkoç Öztınaz has over fifteen years of experience in human resources and strategic management. Berna is currently the Chief HR Officer at Genel Energy, a leading oil and gas exploration and production company. Prior to their current role, Berna served as the CHRO at DeFacto, a leading retail company with 500 stores and 13,500 employees across 30 countries. Berna also served as the Strategy and HR Chief Officer (CSHR) at STFA Construction Group, one of Turkey's most well-established conglomerates with 17,000 employees in Turkey and abroad. In their role at STFA, Berna led the restructuring of STFA Group Management and Processes projects, designed the group's governance, and launched talent management systems. Berna also coordinated the Strategy Map for the group, built critical teams and competency centers, and developed shared services for HR/Finance/IT. Prior to STFA, Berna served as Head of Strategic Business Support at Enerjisa, where they managed a team of 50 people and was responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans. Berna has a proven track record in leading organisations through change and driving business results.

Berna's educational career includes an MBA in Business Administration from Sabanci University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Istanbul University. Berna also attended Richmond School.
