Alexis Rohou is a highly experienced scientist specializing in cryo-electron microscopy (CryoEM) and bioinformatics. Currently serving as Senior Principal Scientist and Director of CryoEM at Genentech since October 2016, Alexis has a rich background that includes roles as a Senior Principal Scientist and Principal Scientist within the same company. Prior experience includes working as a Bioinformatics Specialist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from March 2009 to October 2016, focusing on algorithm and software development for cryo-EM image analysis, as well as serving as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Imperial College London. Alexis earned a PhD in Biochemistry with a focus on Structural Biology and a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London, completing studies between 1999 and 2006.
