Anne Hergarden currently serves as a Principal Scientist at Genentech since July 2024, following a tenure at Carmot Therapeutics, Inc., where Anne held positions as Senior Scientist and Scientist II from August 2020 to June 2024. During this time, contributions included co-leading a cross-functional team for GPCR target development and designing assays for compound profiling. Prior roles included Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Davis, where research focused on neuropsychiatric drugs and GPCR pharmacology, as well as significant work on synaptic scaffolding proteins at Caltech. Earlier experience includes research at The Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation, contributing to publications in Cell and Science. Anne holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Caltech and a B.S. in Zoology from The University of Texas at Austin, complemented by studies in German Studies at Bayerische Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg.
