Rhona O'Leary

Rhona O’Leary PhD became Global Head of Portfolio and Product Development Strategy on March 1, 2018. Rhona is a member of the Late Stage Portfolio Committee (LSPC).

Rhona joined Product Development from gRED, where she served as Vice President of Business Operations and Project Team Leaders. She is a proven, strategic drug development leader with more than two decades of experience in leading high performing teams. Rhona began her career at Genentech in 1995 in Process Development, before transitioning to the Project Team Leader (PTL) role in 2008. She has been leading the gRED PTLs in the areas of Immunology, Ophthalmology, Infectious Diseases, Neuroscience and Metabolism. In addition, Rhona was the head of gRED Business Operations, sitting on the gRED Leadership Team. Rhona brings a deep understanding of drug development having led several molecule teams including Lebrikizumab, and multiple Disease Area Strategies.

Rhona holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Dublin City University.
