Steve Abbott has extensive experience in brand management and marketing. Steve started their career as a Brand Manager at Fruit of the Loom, where they were responsible for the Ladies & Girls Underwear brand. Steve then worked as a Brand Manager at HJ Heinz, overseeing brands such as Gravy Train, Skippy, and Reward dog food.
After that, they joined Del Monte Foods as a Senior Brand Manager, where they managed the Nature's Recipe and Meaty Bone brands. Steve later became a Brand Manager, leading pet snacks innovation for Del Monte's flagship brands.
Steve then joined Swedish Match as a Senior Brand Manager, where they played a key role in launching the leading brand of Swedish smokeless tobacco, General Snus, into the US market.
Before their current role, Steve worked at Michael Sparks Design as a Brand Strategy Director, where they developed and implemented a business model for temporary retailers in Richmond.
Currently, Steve serves as the Marketing Director at General Cigar, where they are responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the company's premium cigar brands. Steve leads a team of marketing professionals and drives strategic thinking, creative solutions, and executional excellence across a diverse portfolio of brands.
Steve Abbott has a degree in Business with a focus on Accounting from William & Mary. Steve also holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business. In addition to their academic background, Steve has certifications as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Oregon and a Coaching Certificate (Level 2) from USRowing.
