Kelly Smith

Kelly Smith's work experience includes a range of roles in the field of IT security and information technology. Kelly is currently employed as a Senior Principal IT Security Specialist at General Dynamics Mission Systems. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Information Security Engineer at Highmark Health and as an Information Technology Specialist (Information Security) at Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Kelly has also held positions as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company, an IT Specialist (System Analyst) at DISA, and a Project Specialist at tapestry technologies, Inc. Kelly has previous experience as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) at DISA and as Manager, Cyber Surety at the USAF. Additionally, Kelly served as a Manager, Network Administration at the US Air Force Academy, where they were responsible for network administration, system maintenance, and security.

Kelly Smith earned a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland in 2014. Kelly then pursued a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity at the same university, which they completed in 2017. Additionally, Kelly obtained two certifications, namely the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from the SANS Institute in November 2017 and the GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) in August 2013.
