Timothy Sullivan has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Timothy started their career as a Webmaster, UNIX Administrator, and Network Coordinator at Case Western Reserve University. Timothy then worked as a Software Engineer at Motorola Space and Systems Technology Group, followed by a role as a Senior Software and R&D Engineer at Computer Guidance Corporation. Sullivan then joined Siebel Systems (now an Oracle brand) as a Senior Engineer, where they focused on developing enterprise software applications.

Timothy later joined General Dynamics C4 Systems, where they held several positions including Principal Software Engineer, Principal Software Engineer/Technical Lead, Software Task Lead / Technical Lead, and Software Task Lead and Technical Lead – CEDS. Timothy Sullivan holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1995. Prior to this, they earned another Master's degree in Materials Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1990 to 1992. Timothy'sundergraduate studies were carried out at Alfred University from 1985 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering.
