Shobhit Sharma

Shobhit Sharma currently serves as the Director of Global CapEx and Manufacturing Services Procurement at General Motors, overseeing global procurement operations for Electric Vehicle (EV) and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) machinery and equipment. With a rich background at General Motors, Shobhit previously led a transformation of indirect global procurement operations valued over $10 billion, and held roles such as Executive Champion in the GM International CEO Office, focusing on process improvements in South America and Asia Pacific. Shobhit’s career includes significant contributions in indirect material capacity and supply chain strategic planning, and leadership in global category management for fuel and ignition systems. Earlier experience includes roles at Autoliv and Tata Motors. Shobhit holds an MBA in Strategy and Operations from the University of Michigan, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology.
