Evan Z. Liu

Evan Liu is a member of the Technical Staff at Imbue since 2023, bringing extensive experience in machine learning and software development. Previously, Evan worked at Google from 2018 to 2022 as a Student Researcher focusing on machine learning applied to systems. From 2014 to 2018, Evan served as an RL Researcher in Percy Liang's lab at Stanford University, specializing in reinforcement learning and semantic parsing. Additionally, Evan has experience as a CS106A/B Section Leader and as a Teaching Assistant and Course Materials Developer, where contribution to course materials for a large online class occurred. Internship experiences include software roles at Bloomberg LP and Juniper Networks, working with SQL and C++ respectively. Evan holds a PhD, MS, and BS with Honors in Mathematics and Computer Science from Stanford University, completed between 2013 and 2023.
