Nicholas Hanovice

Senior Scientist, Preclinical Research at Generation Bio

Nicholas Hanovice is a Senior Scientist in Preclinical Research at Generation Bio since May 2021, previously serving as a Scientist in Retinal Biology. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital from August 2017 to April 2021, where significant contributions were made in studying interneuronal signaling networks related to optic nerve injury and retinal regeneration under the supervision of Dr. Benowitz. Nicholas also worked as a Health Sciences Research Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine from September 2015 to August 2017, after relocating with Dr. Jeffrey Gross's lab. The academic journey began at The University of Texas at Austin, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Cellular and Molecular Biology was earned in 2017, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Theatre from Boston College in 2010.
