Damien Russell

Damien Russell has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Damien started their career as a web developer at Berea College in 2009, where they gained experience with Visual Studio, .NET MVC, and MSSQL. In 2012, they joined Software Masters Inc. as a Lead Developer, where they worked on creating database-driven web applications and basic websites using PHP and Codeigniter within a LAMP stack. Damien then worked at Mission Data in 2013 as a Developer, where they gathered experience with various development stacks and languages such as .NET MVC3 in C#, PHP, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails. Damien also worked on enhancing existing applications and creating server-side scripts. In 2014, they joined Indatus as a Software Engineer, primarily working with PHP and Laravel to build SaaS applications. Damien's next role was at Generation Tux in 2015, where they started as a Sr. Principal Engineer and later became the Director of Engineering. In this role, they specialized in Laravel/PHP and DevOps, and was responsible for establishing private AWS VPCs, migrating infrastructure, and maintaining multiple Kubernetes clusters.
