Joey Meador

Joey Meador, LCSW, currently serves as a psychotherapist at Genesis Counseling Center since November 2021. Previously, Joey worked as an intensive in-home therapist at the Middle Peninsula - Northern Neck Community Services Board from September 2015 to January 2022, providing crisis intervention, counseling, and case management services for individuals at risk due to mental illness or severe behavioral issues. Joey also has experience as an emergency services assessor at Colonial Behavioral Health, focusing on acute crisis problems and short-term counseling. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master of Arts in Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty University, a Master of Science in Secondary Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and a Bachelor of Science in Theatre from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Additionally, Joey has an associate degree in Music Performance from Paris Junior College.
