Greg Vest

Greg Vest has extensive work experience in the field of systems administration and technical support. Greg worked for Genesis Energy, L.P. from November 2013 to March 2019, where they held various roles including Systems Administrator III, Systems Administrator II, and Systems Administrator. In these roles, their responsibilities included provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software. Greg also participated in technical research and development to drive innovation within the infrastructure. Greg also worked at Kinetix Technologies from 2010 to 2013, where they served as a Technical Resources Supervisor and a PC/LAN Technician. In these positions, they managed technical services operations, performed project management tasks, and provided remote support and troubleshooting for customer PC's, servers, and network devices. Before that, Greg worked at Pomeroy IT Solutions from 2009 to 2010 as a Senior Analyst and an Analyst. In these roles, they served as a technical escalation point, assisted help desk analysts, and supported a utility company in various locations.

Greg Vest earned a College Preparatory Diploma from Walton Verona High School in 2000. Greg then attended Eastern Kentucky University from 2000 to 2004, studying International Business/Economics. In 2010, Greg enrolled at Western Governors University and completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology with an emphasis on Security in 2012. Alongside their formal education, Greg obtained several certifications including CompTIA Project+, CCNA, CCNA Security, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows 7 Configuration, CIW Professional, CIW v5 Database Design Specialist, CompTIA Security+, CIW Web Foundations Associate, CIW v5 Associate, CompTIA A+, and HDI Support Center Analyst, between 2009 and 2012.
