Nisha Chander

Nisha Chander has extensive work experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. Nisha is currently working at Genevant Sciences as a Senior Scientist, specializing in pharmaceutical sciences. Prior to this role, they worked as a Scientist at the same company.

Before joining Genevant Sciences, Nisha worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and an Instructor at The University of British Columbia. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, their research focused on the development of lipid nanoparticle systems for drug delivery. Nisha also worked as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate biochemistry courses.

Their previous experience includes working as a Scientific Associate at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, where they gained expertise in nanoparticle formulation development for nucleic acid delivery. Nisha provided formulation and analytical support for nanoparticle vaccines and supported in vivo animal studies.

Nisha also worked as a Lab Assistant at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where they assisted researchers in studying substrate metabolism and diet in the pathophysiology of heart failure and acute ischemic events.

Additionally, Nisha has completed a final year project during their undergraduate degree and a summer internship on plant tissue culture techniques at M S Swaminathan Research Foundation in Chennai, India. During their internship, they gained experience in plant tissue culture techniques and worked with various plants.

Nisha Chander has a strong educational background in the field of biochemistry, molecular biology, and biotechnology. Prior to that, they completed their Masters degree in Biotechnology Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2009 to 2011. In 2005, Nisha received their B.Tech degree in Biotechnology from SRM University.
