Omar Gonzalez

Omar Gonzalez is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in technical leadership and software development. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Genius Sports since July 2019, Omar provides mentorship and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance software development strategies. Previously, Omar held roles as Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Genius Sports, where responsibilities included supporting legacy applications and designing solutions for new requirements. At Rhiino Tech, Omar designed and developed Java-based web services and maintained existing applications as Lead Developer. Prior experience includes positions at DBAccess and Beconsult C.A., focusing on application development and maintenance, along with an early role as a Junior Developer at Banco Nacional de Credito. Omar holds an Engineer's degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana and a Master's degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
