Polina Symonenko

Polina Symonenko has a diverse and extensive background in human resources. Polina is currently working as the Head of HR at Genome, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Human Resources Business Partner at Genome from May 2021 to June 2023.

Before joining Genome, Symonenko worked as an HR Business Partner, IT at Fozzy Group from May 2020 to March 2021. Polina also gained valuable experience as a Human Resources Generalist at Amadeus from June 2018 to May 2020, where they handled various HR functions such as business partnering, compensation and benefits, performance management, and learning and development.

From December 2013 to May 2018, Symonenko worked as a Recruitment and Development Manager at Leroy Merlin, focusing on talent acquisition and employee development. Prior to that, they served as a National Learning and Development Manager at Anheuser-Busch InBev from April 2008 to November 2013, where they oversaw the learning and talent management processes.

Symonenko began their career as a Head of Learning and Development Department at Diamantbank JSB from March 2007 to April 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Learning and Development Specialist at the same organization from February 2006 to March 2007. Polina also gained experience as an HR Specialist at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School from October 2002 to September 2005.

Throughout their career, Symonenko has demonstrated expertise in various HR functions, including business partnering, learning and development, talent management, recruitment, and performance management. Polina has successfully led teams, managed budgets, and implemented HR initiatives to support organizational goals.

Polina Symonenko completed an Executive Development Program in Human Resource Management at the School of HRM at kmbs in Kyiv, Ukraine from 2006 to 2007. Polina also earned a M.Sc in Accounting from Kiev National Economic University from 2004 to 2005. In addition, they obtained a M.Sc. in Economics with a focus on Ecological Economics from SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences from 2003 to 2005.
