Garreth Hippe has had a diverse and extensive career in business development and sales. Garreth is currently the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at GenomOncology, a role they have held since August 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Business Development at Velsera from January to July 2023. From December 2021 to January 2023, they were the Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Pierian. Garreth had previously held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Pierian from July 2018 to December 2021.
Before joining Pierian, Garreth held various positions at Oracle, starting as a Senior Sales Executive in the Health Sciences Global Business Unit from September 2012 to January 2015. Garreth then became a Consulting Sales Manager for the Americas in the same unit from February 2015 to June 2018.
Garreth has also worked at Elsevier as a Senior Product Sales Manager from December 2011 to September 2012. During their time at Elsevier, they were responsible for sales of the Pathway Studio/MedScan and Target Insights product lines to top Pharma, Biotech, and Crop Science customers globally.
Prior to Elsevier, Garreth worked at Ariadne Genomics as the Senior Director of Business Development from July 2009 to December 2011. Garreth also served as the VP of Business Development at Vital Systems, Inc. from August 2008 to February 2009.
Earlier in their career, Garreth held the position of VP of Operations at 210 Associates from January 2003 to May 2008. Garreth was the CEO-Owner of IS Discovery from May 2002 to March 2003. Garreth started their career at InforMax, Inc. as an Enterprise Sales Manager for the Western US from January 1999 to May 2002.
Garreth Hippe completed their education as follows: Garreth received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from The University of Kansas from 1989 to 1994. Later, they pursued another Bachelor of Science degree, this time in Genetics, from The University of Kansas from 1996 to 1997. Subsequently, they attended the University of Kansas - Graduate School of Business from 1997 to 1998, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance and International Business.
